Research in 2010

The book Cinéma, interactivité et société (Cinema, Interactivity and Society)

This 272-page book was created as a follow up to the first symposium “Cinéma, interactivité et société” that took place in Poitiers from November 19th to 21st, 2008.

The book has been edited by Hubertus von Amelunxen (principal of the ÉESI) and Jean-Marie Dallet.


2 – Second biennial event "Figures de l’interactivité" (Figures of Interactivity)

On November 2010, the second opus of the international biennial symposium "Figures de l’interactivité", temporary titled « Mémoire(s) » (Memor(ies)).
Lectures given by theorists, art critics, artists and researchers will try to define a field that is related to tagging, filing and browsing in large sets of data.

In the course of the year 2010, we will draw up a list of speakers and the first pieces of information will be issued, then sent to art schools, high schools and the press. The website of the biennial event will also be updated.


3 – Continuation of the research project Enactive Ciné, ANR project

As the Enactive Ciné project has been put on the ANR complementary list, our goal is integrate the ANR recommandations in order to improve its ranking.


4 – Collaboration with the Jules Étienne Marey art gallery

Artists and researchers involved in the project have been working with the E.J. Marey art gallery in order to carry out didactic, artistic and playful experimentations based on the documentary and iconographical content of the art gallery. These archives, as well as machines allowing motion synthesis, will be used to undertake experimentations for developping principles, applications and prototypes for digital and cultural innovative services.
