SLIDERS_1
A collective performance of interactive cinema was held. A logic was set and a software was purposely written to allow manipulation of large sets of picture-moving blocks and soundtrack bits. The logic of this new type of cinema is based on data tagging.

Bandits-Mages is an international festival which takes place every two years, its designers dedicated it to video and multimedia. Set up in the ancient chapel of the art school, the first four days allowed us to learn the ropes, that is to say to rehearse again and polish the scripts written and worked at Angoulême and Pau during a week from January 23rd to 28th. On these four days, we have also been able to test the potentialities and the stability of each programs on the SLIDERS_1 platform.

The device chosen for the performance gave the projection screen a centered position. Indeed, it separated the viewers from the performers. Unlike a movie theater, the projection was done from a point located, not behind the viewers' back, but in front of them, behind the screen.

The SLIDERS "performers" band consisted of : Béatrice Baillet, Stéphanie Cadoret, Yaju Chen, Camille Durand, Julie Lannes, Gaëlle Lacombe, Laurent Macowek, Gérard Quiles, Céline Raox, Nicolas Sassoon, Mickaël Vivier and Frédéric Voignier.
Laurent Macowek, video teacher at the ÉESI, Joël Grelier and Patrick Sausse, respectively sound and video technician at the ÉESI, went with the band.
Audrey Cazenave, computer technician at the ÉESI, also brought us her support at Angoulême for the database creation on the server.
