Founded in 2001, Hexagram is an institute of research, art creation and media technologies. It was born from the union of two major Montreal universities which are the Concordia University (Concordia) and the University of Québec at Montréal (UQÀM), which have been joined in 2006 by the University of Montréal and the McGill University (McGill). 79 academic creator-researchers, assisted by 350 graduate and postgraduate students, are currently accomodated in the facilities.
